Artist Paul Mather returns with his custom build of a familiar Starship shape, but of a design that we have not seen before! Named after someone he highly respects, I love the honor involved in this build.

The ship is based on an Advanced Apollo Refit Class Ship. On November 17, 2008. Donna Kydd a Nurse Practitioner
opened the first Nurse Practitioners Lead Clinic in Durham, Ontario, Canada. Which I happened to be her first client.
I’ve made this ship in her honor. Of course the NCC # Is the date it all started (17, Nov. 2008). The main saucer has approx. 2000 beds, Medical Staff of 450. Ships Crew of 500, with 24 Officers. The upper saucer with it’s 3 landing bay doors is the Emergency Medical Bay, ER, OR, and Burns Ward etc. In the upper saucer, It also has 2 torpedo tubes

All Star Trek fans know of the first vessel Captain Picard Captained. Artist Paul Mather shows us the first of that line!

Before the Stargazer, Their was the Ship named for it’s class of Ships…..

This Class of ship was known as the Constellation Class.

USS CONSTELLATION, NCC-1017. 1:1000 Scale.

Length- 12 inches, Width – 7 inches, Height – without stand 3 1/2 inches.

This Bash/Srcatch Kit with some Styrene used, Took 9 months to build.

Upper and lower Torpedo launchers and 9 Phaser banks. Main forward

Landing bay, With 6 additional cargo bays. 2 sets of Impulse Engines.

Since the JJA version of Star Trek came out, I have very much come accustomed to the newer starship designs. So much so that I very much enjoy viewing them now! It took me a while, but I really like them!

Showing today is Paul Mather’s scratch and bash 1:1000 Kelvin!

USS KELVIN, 1:1000 Scale. Bash/Scratch Model. Using 2 Refit StarShips.

TOS Engine and Secondary Hull. Measures Aprox: 10 inches Long, 5.5 inches Wide.

Decals: Using a computer program and store bought Decal Sheet. ” Not a easy as it sounds”.

USS YEAGER, NCC-61947-D. Venture Class. Bash/Scratch Modified Kit. Aprox 1:1300 Scale! Made from an Enterprise D (movies), Engines from a Voyager (STV) Model 15+yrs old. My favorite. Ship named after General Chuck Yeager USAF(ret.)

Also, Making a third and final attempt at a fully detailed USS KELVIN, 1:1000 scale. It will be finished hopfully by end of September 2012.

For the record, This was the Original USS KELVIN Model I made Kurt.

USS KELVIN, NCC-0514. A Styrene Scatch/Bash Model using Parts

from a Refit Enterprise and a (TOS) Enterprise (Engine).

This model is made to 111/2 inches long, and to 1:1000 Scale.

Once again Paul Mather comes forward with his unique style of modeling. He takes what is normal about models and changes them up with colors not usually seen on builds. This time with BLUE highlighted areas!

It’s a small model, But has Massive Detail,… Love it.

Hope the new up coming BS Pegasus has as much detail as this Galactica.

USS EXCALIBUR, NCC-1664. NEBULA MK-IV CLASS. 1/2500 Scale.

Bash/Scratch Kit Using a kit of a 2500 scale 1701-C. Styrene for the upper pod.

10 Phaser Srips, and 3 Quantum Torpido Tubes. 71/2 inches Long, 5 inches Wide.

Here is another scratch & bash envisioned build by Paul Mather. This one of the JJ Abrams STAR TREK film… the USS Kelvin. Paul’s version of this vessel is very unique, but manages to keep the main styling as we know it to be.
