CHRONICLE DELIVERS!! Stargate ANUBIS Helmet for the KUHN GLOBAL Collection

Last Friday, Oct 30, 2015, three large boxes came to me via FedEx! The Anubis Helmet had arrived! Like a kid on Christmas morning, I wanted to rip it open to see the marvelous creation inside, but alas, no time availed itself until yesterday. As an older modeler, I thought I would share with you all the individual pieces in high resolution, that you may admire the great detail work that Chronicle delivered.

As stated this piece came is three boxes. Two larger boxes, with one that obviously carry’s the mounting pole. All well packed and wrapped within the shaped Styrofoam, I found unpacking all the pieces easy, but with time needed to take proper care...

Jango Fett Helmet Replica by Dan Grumeretz

Made for the Kuhn Global / Modeler’s Miniatures & Magic Gallery Collection, artist Dan Grumeretz recently finished the Jango Fett Helmet Replica we have been wanting to show from the pattern provided by KORBANTH. This piece has the lowered arm bracket on the side, the screen vents on its rear, and even has the same wear pattern weathering of the original. And… for those whom look past the shown item, you will notice the last studio scale USS Defiant in the photos that is being finished up for the Michael Plante Collection. I love viewing background items in a well versed shop! Beautiful work Dan!

1:1 A New Hope Darth Vader Helmet by Dan Grumertez for the Kuhn Global / Modeler Magic Collection

I recently came home from a visit to artist Dan Grumeretz shop where I was picking up some goodies. One of  which is this 1:1 replica of the Darth Vader Helmet as seen in 1977’s Star Wars… in the beginning of the film. Slightly dulled from the carbon residue in the air, and it even has the damage on the right cheek of the mask! Dan did a fantastic job recreating what I remember seeing for the first time back in 1977. Even the brush marks, and multi-toned paint! Of note.. this is not the eFX Helmet (which we already know is of great quality), but a ONE-OFF painted for this collection. It will show nicely. Thank you Dan!

Star Trek DS9 – MICHAEL DORN Worn Prosthetics – “WORF’s” Head and Nose Pieces

During my time as a collector, I have had the great honor of meeting, and even befriending, and working with some of the Cast Members, Make-up Artists, and Prop Handlers, and of course model builders from all of the Television series and blockbuster films we all enjoy. Because so, I was able to acquire this authentic piece after DS9 ended. My friend Karen Westerfield, whom was Armin Shimerman’s (Quark’s) Make-up Artist, was able to get the only surviving piece for me after it’s use by Michael Dorn on DS9. Usually these pieces were destroyed. As stated, and being that Paramount was quite strict in it’s protection of these pieces, it is believed that this may be the only surviving Head and Nose piece actually worn on the show, making it very rare and keeping it’s value quite high.

COLLECTOR ALERT!! 1:1 Looney Tunes “PePe Le Pew” Sculpture by Dan Grumeretz

Made for my wife as a Christmas Gift from me, professional artist Dan Grumeretz (of the well known GRUMERETZ ILLUSTRATION) did a fantastic job creating this life sized (or what we assume would be life size with his tail reaching 24 inches in height from the base) PePe Le Pew from the famous Looney Tunes Cartoons most of us grew up with! Complete with a 30 second sound clip of PePe’s finest statements and recollecting music of his prancing, this piece is one in a million for my wife’s collection of these great classic pieces! Now, Dan has casted what he has done for me in order to present this fine piece as an offering to any who also collect these large classic cartoon pieces! They go along nicely with the large Disney statues that currently sell online and in the parks! A beautiful piece ...

Boba Fett Helmet from Master Replicas

This piece is the last I received from Master Replicas (now Factory Entertainment), and I believe the last helmet they produced. That stated, this is an amazing replica! Every marking is beautiful to my eye. Even the targeting scanner lights up with a scene and blinking lights! I have always loved the Mandalorian Helmets, and Master Replicas made one of my dreams of owning one come true! I love this piece!

MMM Gallery/Museum Appraised at $3,800 U.S.

Darth Vader Helmet from Ep III by Master Replicas

Sinister….. that is all I have to say about Darth Vader’s Helmet… no matter which film it was from, or which version it is. The version shown here is from Episode III Revenge of the Sith where Anikan transforms into Vader, becomes deformed through evil and battle, and then placed entombed within this shell. The Helmet you see is made from the molds of the actual helmet worn by Hayden Christiansen (Anikan/Vader). It is exactly made in the three pieces shown in the film… with lenses that (when worn) really give the feel that Anikan’s point of view seen in the film. Very eerie indeed! THIS fantastic piece was offered  briefly by Master Replicas (now Factory Entertainment), but had issues with the finish on most of the pieces they received from their manufacturer...

APOLLO 11 Moon Landing 40th Anniversary Tribute

I was only three years old at the time, but still remember Neil Armstrong heading down the ladder and placing the first known human footprint on the Moon. It was July 20, 1969…. and the world was watching with it’s breath held.

This is to honor all that participated in mankind’s efforts to get to the moon and beyond. It wasn’t ONLY an effort of the United States, but of several countries genius that brought Mankind into space… and eventually onto another world!

Here you will view photos, in order of their happening to the best of my knowledge. From the choosing of Neil Armstrong, Michael Collins and Edwin Eugene “Buzz” Aldrin, through their training and launch to their eventual landing on the moon. Even a conversation with the then U.S...

300’s King Leonidas’s Helmet Replica from the Modeler Magic Collection

Entering my collection is this fine, licensed piece. Based on the striking graphic novel 300 artwork of Frank Miller, this surprisingly realistic headgear measures 19-inches tall. Fashioned of steel and plated with antiqued brass, the leather-lined helmet features a genuine horsehair crest, adjustable chinstrap, display stand, and certificate of authenticity.I recommend this for anyone who love historic things, but cannot buy the genuine article. I am very impressed with how much the studio prop and costuming departments kept mainly to the original designs of the REAL Spartan helmets worn back when King Leonidas ruled Sparta.
