Zachary Brackin’s 14 Inch FireFly SERENITY!

Here’s my 2009 Firefly Serenity build from the kit once offered years ago by Tony Lamb (Hunk of Junk Productions). It is no longer available. This was originally shown here on Modeler Magic back on January 31, 2011. On this one I added some extra details, like paneling and the rivets around the cockpit. The main thing I also added was the lighting, which was difficult since most of the model was solid. I got the electronic parts from Voodoo FX and they work quite well. The lights on the gravity wheel are on a chaser chip similar to the QMx replica, although this uses few lights. The ship is about 14″ long.

The Z-Axis – Zachary Brackin’s 3D Printed Star Wars Hotrod Speeder

Here’s something I’ve been working on for quite some time. Finished the 3D model 5 years ago and had intended on 3D printing it.
Experimented with different printers over the years and eventually settled on the Form2. Lots of design work to get the best results with the printer. 202 parts, 1/10th scale about 18.5″ long
Uses an arduino inside for the lighting which is controlled wirelessly from Bluetooth with a phone app that I made.

Here’s a video demonstrating the lighting and a small screen I put into the center console
