From Gerry Anderson’s classic 1960’s TV Series Joe 90, this is the Cyranian Airlines passenger jet. It is a small scratch built model… scaled replica. No plans of the studio model survived, so I made this piece by using screen captures from the TV Series.

I recently had the pleasure of corresponding with industry artist Alan Walker, who is both a prop and miniature artist. He has so many ‘gems’ to show, many of which are of Gerry Anderson’s designs. This one if from the 1968 series JOE 90, and more specifically from Season 1, Episode 28 that was aired on April 6, 1969 called TEST FLIGHT. Not many model makers today will remember, nor recognize the series, but many will remember, or feel familiar with this design. New Zealand Artist Alan Walker successfully captured it’s essence in his scratch build of this beautiful model. It is not very large, but appears to be so.
