Originally shown here on Modeler Magic back on March 12, 2015, and with artist Shiba’s new composite creations just emailed to me, I thought this piece would be great to show on our front pages again!

Back then I stated the below statement… and that still holds true!

I must admit… I gave this piece a double glance to realize it was NOT the actual studio model. This piece is so well done in color and tone replication to the original (Shown HERE with thanks to artist Jason Eaton), that this could indeed be the best original studio model replication of RED 3 I have seen yet.

We are saddened to report that Takasaki of Studio Teto is now in retirement. Artist’s Shiba and Takasaki have shown us all amazing work out of their shop in Japan, and they have inspired millions of our viewers world wide. We shall miss Takasaki-san greatly. I wish to thank them both for giving us all joy in this art form, showing masterful skill and creative ability. My friends, you have made your mark in the world, and art form with all you have done within it. Your credentials of work over the decades have proved your work to be great, and we shall always view it, remembering you in the process. Thank you Shiba-san… thank you Takasaki-san…. thank you STUDIO TETO!

From The Empire Strikes Back, the CEO of Studio TETO, artist Shiba, produced a 7 inch size TWIN POD Cloud Car. It is small, and it is so well done that it can be mistaken for the full sized filming miniature! Fantastic!

“Shiba has commentary on this ESB production.
1. The aircraft heat-pressed Plastics sheet with an egg type mold
2. Window also made by cutting plus tech sheet, the pilot uses 1/35 model kit to produce.
3. For the painting, refer to the studio model, the base is spraying a yellow surfacer.
4. By this painting, when you shoot the ESB with a dark light, the aircraft is shot red, with a bright light can shoot as an Orange-like aircraft.
**Look at the size of the ESB on the left hand of shiba!! Even 7 inches will look like a studio model”

Report from Takasaki

With the retirement of artist Takasaki from the art form of Studio TETO, he is now joining in public relations for the Studio. That stated, known artist Shiba has now become CEO of this amazing Studio in Japan. It is a very exciting time there as the Battle of Sekigahara will be released in August in a Japanese Sengoku movie, so the Studio is very busy currently.

Showing here today is their most recent build from the Randy Cooper Kit…. and.. if you look closely, you may even spot the ‘pinup’ poster on the rear wall of the Bridge! Fantastic!

Japan’s Studio TETO is doing amazing work. Like this Falcon built by Shiba! It is meant to be a miniature replica of the filming studio model. To make it so, Shiba made great modifications. Beautiful!

The artists at Japan’s Studio TETO are amazing! This TIE Fighter started as an already impressive NICE-N Model Designs kit. This studio have proven to be world class.
