Carson Ward – NICE-N Model Designs – Studio Scale – Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back – CLOUD CAR

Here is the Nice-N Model Designs Studio Scale Cloud Car. I painted with Mission Model Paints and had to mix multiple orange/red colors. I also used a gloss finish on certain panel areas to give it more of a panel contrast look as it has some large open areas. It’s a classic ship that just reminds me of The Empire Strikes Back. Both pilots are identical but I have one of them a nice mustache. I once again had a custom display case and plaques made to give it a completed look.

Carson Ward’s – STAR WARS – Randy Cooper Models – 42″ Imperial Star Destroyer

I just finished a monster of a model. Here is my vision of Randy Coopers 1/1500 ISD. I added extra piping to the rear corner engine areas as well as lots of extra detail bits on other parts as well. I really just picked and choose from various ISD’s that I thought looked really cool. I used Mission Model Paints on this and added extra panel colors such as purple/blue and grey hues, it gave me the look I was going for. I had some Tie Fighters as well as Imperial Shuttle printed and feel it added a pretty neat ROTJ feel to it, I made the Ties a little larger just so they would look like actual Tie Fighters rather than tiny specs, it gave the impression I was going for...

KORBANTH ~38 Inch Blockade Runner by Carson Ward

Here is the Korbanth Blockade Runner I put together. I’ve added tons of small extra piping and greeblies to get a more screen accurate version. Extra piping in the upper/lower guns, added more tips to the barrels, as well as the engines have extra parts added like the original. It’s all lit up with a scratch built cockpit and also added the centerfold poster as well as a Star Wars vintage poster like the original and is powered by a 12V outlet fed out the center of the mount. All the guns and radar dish are mounted using magnets to allow for re-positioning. Painted using Mission Models paints. This is a huge, heavy, awesome beast.
