This piece (the Orion) built by BP Taylor is going to steal the show when everyone views it! Outstanding! The Museum of Science Fiction in Washington DC is truly doing great things for this art form and industry!  Model Construction Subcommittee Chairman Steve Dryer sees that it all comes together for us all! BP Taylor Builds the 76 Inch ORION Space Plane for the Museum of Science Fiction

Fast Forward Model’s own BP Taylor is yet another great artist that has stepped up to build something fantastic for Washington DC’s Museum of Science Fiction! This is HUGE at 6 foot 4 inches in length…. a dream for anyone that is a fan of 2001:ASO! Just look at the detail BP is placing onto this beast! Beautiful!

As you may know, this is job for the Museum. In fact, one aspect that has been most difficult about it is the lack of good reference material.
The Orion I’m building will measure 6 feet 4 inches when completed,making it considerably larger than the original studio model used in 2001, which I believe was around 42 inches long.
