I have two more rooms with models in them aside from what we are showing here today. The large TU 95, SR -71, and B-2 were built by modelers at Wright-Patterson AFB for early laser research. I purchased them from the spouses of Air Force Engineers who had passed away, and the models were in horrendous shape, requiring untold hours of filling, sanding, painting, and detail work. The wingspans of the B2 and TU 95 are almost 60 inches! Some are die cast, some commissioned, some built by myself, many one of a kind ( the Anaconda APC is all metal commissioned from 5 CGI internet shots. It is 32″ long). The oldest models are 40 years old. There are more to come…

Here are a few photos of my latest build up. It involves two of the Pegasus War Of The Worlds (1953) machines with some Starling Tech sound & lighting kits installed. One ship has the basic lighting kit installed, the other has the ‘deluxe’ sound & lighting kit. I managed to install the power supplies inside so there aren’t any wires running up a stand. I turn the machines on by rotating the ‘cobra head’ ray gun slightly to the side which activates an internal switch. I decided to mount the ships on Lexan rods to simulate the invisible legs mentioned in the film. I lighted these at their bases with flickering blue LEDS to copy the scene in the movie.

Here is my completed 2005 Pegasus Alien Tripod with lights and sounds via our Life Force Kit. I’ve finally made time to do a complete build instead of a mock-up. It was actually a fun build, no seam work was done other than to light block lit areas. Watered down Pigmented black ink was used for the wash and weathering. Multiple coats of future was used to seal it.

Here is another Commission build for the Curtis Hughes collection War of the World Martian War Machine. 1/48 SCALE. Curtis Hughes want it to sound and light up like the 1953 movie. So used the Starling -tech lighting kit with sound. I modified the kit a little I used an ear phone jack for the stand and installed buttons and switches to the stern of the ship. that way it self contained. Power is in the stand will the switch.
