Kit Description: I have made a new kit, it is the DF9 turret of the Empire Strikes Back. It is made in 1:12 scale and as always I offer it in kit or finished and painted, in both cases it includes a snow base. The measurements are 38×38 cm (the base of snow) and the total height is about 39 cm with the hatch open.

Description: I would like to offer my new kit project in your website as on other occasions. In this case is not a star wars kit. It is a 1/6 scale kit of a ancient roman catapult aka ” Scorpio”.
I designed this kit based on rests found at Teruel (Spai) dated in the II-I century B.C.. This kit is able to shoot and its mechanism works and move like a real one.

When I first saw this kit and build by artist Miguel Recover, I was very excited! … And when Miguel sent me the fully built piece?!! Let’s just say I was elated! This piece is BEAUTIFUL, and the level of fine detail on it is incredible. Miguel even made the freezing ice webs on the surface of the Turret, (which I unfortunately forgot to photograph). He researched this piece thoroughly and discovered that the gun barrel used was from an actual Rolls Royce Aircraft Engine! Fantastic!

I took these photos in the natural early morning first light, the dawn of a new day. I set up the Blue Screen just before the sun showed over the horizon, and it was perfect. I may use natural light again for some other pieces I will soon photograph. I am a bit behind… LOL.
