Kuhn Global Blue Screen – (2022) 1:650 Star Trek: Nemesis – Enterprise 1701-E (2007 Cast #001, Incarnation #004) in The Albert Siow Collection

As stated in October 2007, and again in December 2012: This 41 inch model was mastered by Richard Long in 2005-2006. This was the very first cast kit from his patterns. Though it was the first cast in the world of this model kit, it was the third to be built and finished. The first two (Casts #002 and #003) were built and finished by ILM artist John Eblan, under his company banner of “The FX Company”.

What a story this model has… and now, with it’s complete re-build by artist Dan Grumeretz, I hope this to be it’s final representation as a part of the Albert Siow Collection.

As the story goes: The first Kuhn Global build, using Cast #001 (which I refer to as “Incarnation #001), was first painted in 2007 to replicate the USS Enterprise we viewed in Star Trek: Nemesis...

FLEETYARD’s Color Correction of a Photo Survey – OBERTH Class (USS Grissom & USS Pegasus) Studio Model from Star Trek III and TNG

Here are my color corrections of the Oberth Class studio model photos. Bill George has posted these photos of the Oberth class studio model at Imgur. The corrections are essentially limited to the white balance, contrast and highlights / shadows. Some images needed color matching. While formerly being the USS Grissom from Star Trek III: The Search for Spock, the model photographed has the configuration from Star Trek TNG season 7, Episode 12 “The Pegasus”.
The Production Designer, John Eaves, shared these images at https://johneaves.wordpress.com/2011/06/10/the-uss-grissom/.

Sovereign Replicas 2006 – Star Trek: Nemesis – 1/650 (41″ / 104.1cm) USS Enterprise NCC-1701-E! (Cast #001, Incarnation #001) 2007 Blue Screen Photos by Kuhn Global (Kurt Kuhn)

This 41 inch model was mastered by Richard Long in 2005-2006, and this was the very first cast kit from his patterns. Though it was the first cast in the world of this model kit, it was the third to be built and finished. The first two to be built (Casts #002 and #003) were finished by ILM artist John Eblan, under his company banner of “The FX Company”. This build (shown here in this posting) was painted to replicate the USS Enterprise we viewed in Star Trek: Nemesis, and at the time was one of the most complex paint schemes of any Enterprise (aside from The Motion Picture Enterprise studio model). The model used for filming the movie was a CG model, and therefore did not exist physically. We were able to obtain the CG files to closely replicate what we saw on film.

Due to unforeseen misha...

FLEETYARD Color Corrected Reference Share: Star Trek: TMP Klingon K’TINGA “Prefinished Stadium” Studio Model Photos by Michael Middleton as shared by John Eaves

This is the K’Tinga configuration in a prefinished stadium for Star Trek The Motion Picture. These photos are from Michael Middleton, and originally shown here on Modeler Magic in low resolution back in 2009 via Kurt Kuhn, courtesy of the Production Designer, John Eaves (whom recently shared these high res versions of these images that may now be seen here). However, they all had the same color temperature problem. Since there is now the kit of Polar Lights in 1/350, I’ve subjected the photos to a color correction.

Enjoy it,

Inspired by designs created by industry known John Eaves, and named after the actual Navy Destroyer, this fantastic creation is amazingl! There is something about this piece that really draws my attention. The design is very interesting withe shuttle bays and cargo areas! I like this piece very much.
Here is what Jeff has to say…

Another scratchbuild project that was inspired by the work of Mr. John Eaves…

I wanted to build something a little different (for me) and I loved the starship designs of John Eaves such as the ECS Endeavor, Horizon and Fortunate.

The inspiration came from a small lighting connector I was using to hook up some fluorescent lights. The connector looked like a good shape for a cargo container...

FOR SALE! “MAZARITE DEFENSE SHIP” A John Eaves design built by JP Modelworks

FOR SALE!!

Presents

Mazarite Defense Ship

$500 USD

INCLUDES SHIPPING!!

This fantastic creation is a John Eaves STAR TREK: ENTERPRISE design, built by know modeler Jeff Pollizzotto of JP Modelworks. Very cool!

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

When I saw the sketch for the Mazarite Defense ship that was done for the ENTERPRISE episode “Fallen Heroes” I knew I had to build it. The design was not used on the episode but it was still a great design. Working from only the B&W sketch, I had to take some creative license to make a working model of this asymmetrical design. I first drew up some three view drawings and from there I made some vacuum form patterns from Ren Shape. These were then formed and used as the main hull section, the Engine pod and the center pod...

Pierre Drolet’s Star Trek STARSHIP BONEYARD – Featuring Starship Designs from Famed Artists

Pierre Drolet’s talents are well noted in both the industry and the art form. His choice to take all the fantastic CG builds of Starship designs and place them in a desert looking environment really gave me chills. It is completely reminiscent of today’s retired aircraft boneyards, but on the huge scale they are. I can’t even imagine being able to walk among something like this should they have been real! Absolutely fantastic! Plus, you will notice great designs from Doug Drexler, John Eaves, and even Matt Jeffries among these works of Pierre’s! OUTSTANDING!!

(2012) 1:650 Star Trek: INSURRECTION – 41″ USS Enterprise 1701-E (2007 Cast #001, Incarnation #003) Blue Screen Photos by Kuhn Global (Kurt Kuhn)

As stated in October 2007: This 41 inch model was mastered by Richard Long in 2005-2006, and this was the very first cast kit from his patterns. The first Kuhn Global build, using Cast #001 (which I refer to as “Incarnation #001), was first painted in 2007 to replicate the USS Enterprise we viewed in Star Trek: Nemesis. Sadly, while on display, the secondary hull buckled, causing the model to fall forward, thus damaging the model significantly. I then discovered that there was no armature built into the model for strength and stability...
