This is my buildup of the Nice-N models studio Scale Escape Pod from A New Hope. Painted primarily with Archive-X enamels, this was a challenging but fun build. This was also my first time mounting to a PanaVise stand, and I was really happy with the positioning options it afforded after it was completed. Now in the collection of Brian Wooldridge.

I’ve finally got my Korbanth Tie Bomber in it’s case. It’s 1/24 and designed by Alfred Wong. All painted with acrylics, it was a difficult task to find what I thought was the closest color to the ILM model and think I’ve got it pretty close. I added the LED tops to the rear engines to make it look closer to the studio model. The wings proved a small challenge to ensure they were even and since they are three piece, there were long seams to deal with. Everything is painted even the small rectangles that are everywhere. Mounted on a PanaVise stand and screwed into a custom display case.

I spent 6 months and hundreds of hours on this project, pouring over pictures of the 5 foot filming model and replicated each and every detail to the best of my ability. I have been told by people that have seen the real one that mine is a very close match to the original, which I was very happy to hear!!
