Here is an alternate scenario where aliens find their way to present day Earth instead of to be found on a faraway planet in the distant future. Here a disparate cast of survivors find themselves banded together on a London tour bus careening through the streets trying to flee an invested city, barely under control and teetering precariously with the group desperately fending off the surging Xenomorphs. The cast consists of a pair of London police constables, a British soldier, various civilians and a movie-nod AR-15 toting action-heroine.

The figures are modified from a variety of sources including Master Box, Tamiya and various unknown figures out of my spares stash. The Xenomorphs are slightly reworked and reposed Konami Alien toys...

The Pulse Rifle has long been a “must do” model because it’s such a great looking weapon. I first started the model with the Thompson machine gun handle which is laminated sheets of 60 thou plastic sheet. Then I moved onto the top handle section, which was a box section again, from 60 thou sheet to add strength to the model. There are only one or two kit bits, and even the screws on the trigger grip are hand made. The front pump handle grip was layers of sheet plastic with some parts being 6 layers to get the correct shape. The model was painted in enamels and then the whole thing coated with a matte varnish, then dirtied down to try an get that “lived in” feeling.

I was asked to build a 3 foot Sulaco model from the film ALIENS. My client was so pleased that he asked if I could make a larger version.. and I did! Here it is at just over 6 feet long and 12 inches high. It took 3 months to build, and is all hand made apart from a few kit bits from my spares box for dressing.
The model was made in four sections, and the front array section was made so that it could be detached from the model along with a small drop down section so it could be boxed more easily. The hardest part of the build was making sure that all the sections were aligned properly. My Client was so pleased with the model that he asked me to also make a large, studio scale, Narcissus for him. I will show photos with Modelers Miniatures & Magic soon of it.
