Hello everyone! It is well to see Modelers Miniatures & Magic again showing new content! Thank you to Chris Dye and his team!! I am pleased to say that I too shall be adding to what will be shown.

Just before I retired from Modeler Magic (back on May 31, 2021), I received a few new kits to unbox, not having the opportunity to do so until today. I am excited to do so, especially now that MMM is running at full speed once more.

I am pleased to show a kit that has been out for months now, yet still is highly anticipatory to many model builders and fans alike. From Dynamic Digital Creations, we have the 1/1930 BSG-75. In the title I state it is “half studio scale” only because it is to scale with the half studio scale Battlestar Galactica TOS Kit that Mike Salzo had released years ago now...

Before we get started, I wanted everyone to know that I considered doing these two Kits unboxing’s on video. I decided that it better serves the art form to be able to see up close each part that comes in these kits, appreciating the great craftsmanship and work that went into bringing them to reality. Also of note is that what I receive from an artist may not be the same as what you may receive. Simply stated, the GK industry is still working out the kinks of constant quality control and professionalism therein. We are always striving to improve the art form. So.. with these photos below, allow your eyes to determine what you know.

First, we have been working on this project for months now, and it is coming along nicely. Tony Celliers of Dynamic Digital Creation is also involved. We are using the files he had previously cleaned up for the Galactica that he is making as a starting point for our large kit. Parts breakdowns etc will change based on printer size, and molding needs. Tony will also be assisting us with reworking the files that we were recently provided by Lee Stringer for the fully detailed landing bay interior set pieces.

I have now received feedback from The Kit Factory’s own Simon Mercs ( at the end of the first week of August 2020) that the client for this piece loved the test print, even with the minor issues that were present, and we are working with a Caster to get quotes...

This is a Tony Celliers Dynamic Digital Creations 1/17 T-70 X-Wing kit. My initial reaction reviewing the build doc was that it was going to be a tough build, but once I started the build, it turned out to be the opposite. Fact is, there aren’t really that many parts to the kit and the build is quite fun and not complicated. Kit has resin castings as well as 3D printed parts. The wings and interior wing mechanism is 3D printed. The fuselage section was made from two parts top and two bottoms, and I wanted everything to blend in so filler was used. I didn’t like the nose “cone” detail because it seem too large so I used the disc sander to shave it down closer to the fuselage profile...
