SOLD!! 1:350 ROUND 2 “Second Pilot” ENTERPISE 1701 by E. James Small

SOLD!!

HUGE Model at 32 Inches!!

Star Trek

“Second Pilot – Where No Man Has Gone Before”

1:350 USS Enterprise 1701

P6

Here is a model of the USS Enterprise built as the “second pilot” version of the ship as shown in the Star Trek episode “Where No Man Has Gone Before”, the first to star William Shatner. This version of the ship is also seen throughout the series in stock footage as well.

The model was built up using some of the first castings from the molds as a test bed for the kit to see how it all goes together, test colour schemes and the weathering decals and so on. Yes, the “neck” is indeed supposed to be blue as shown!

The model isn’t what you might call “perfect”, as there are some flaws because it was meant to be a test...

Artist Marc Elkins sent me these photos today of the Studio Scale Enterprise Refit Impulse Engine Kit from TimeSlip Creations that is part of an ongoing process to kit the entire Studio Scale 8 foot Enterprise REFIT as it was seen in Star Trek The Motion Picture! George and Crew have done it again with a fantastic a most professional kit ever! See more of the STUDIO Enterprise Kit by going to the TimeSlip area here on Modeler Magic. Just CLICK HERE to do so!

Would have never thought any kit could rival the actual 8 footer, but these parts are telling the story, these parts are of superior quality, so far they have zero flaws in every casting and the dimensions are dead on, the impulse deck is an impressive piece by itself, the two grills are thick acrylic with the pattern already printed...

Enterprise Crash Site on Planet GENESIS – Diorama by Thomas Militello

Artist Thomas Militello brings us another unique idea….. something I never would have though of until now! We never really saw the wreckage of our beautiful Enterprise after Kirk self destructed her to save his crew from Klingon Commander Kruge above the newly formed Genesis planet. It stands to reason with the ships mass that there would be some wreckage that would have actually made it to the surface! This is a great diorama of what that may have looked like!

Battle Damaged 1701-C by Thomas Militello

Once again artist Thomas Militello brings us a piece that is unlikely to be seen anywhere else…. a battle damaged Enterprise 1701-C from Star Trek – The Next Generation episode “Yesterday’s Enterprise”. This piece is wonderful with all the damage showing. This is a great representation of this vessel.

Attached it the Enterprise C with the new decals from Polar Lights. The kit was an original release and I used it for the battle damage. I am working on the new release –C. I am also working on Ent-D from Star Trek generations Separated and battle damaged. I am using a set of battle damages decals from the 3 new kits I purchased from Polar Lights.
