Registrations are now open for the new Star Trek U.S.S. Enterprise Model Kit Building, Painting & Lighting Class at JerseyFest Academy. This all day class is occurring on Friday, August 28th, 2015 at the Marriott Hanover Hotel in Whippany, New Jersey. It’s happening the day before the weekend long JerseyFest vendor show.

Without question, one of the most impressive model kits to ever emerge from our great hobby is the Star Trek Original Series U.S.S. Enterprise (1/350 scale) model kit produced by Round 2 Models/Polar Lights. So many modelers have this amazing kit and the JerseyFest team would like to offer a very special class that will guide attendees through the process of building it...

Our dates for JerseyFest 2015 are August 28th to the 30th, which will once again be at the Marriott Hanover Hotel in Whippany, New Jersey.

As with prior years, Friday is the date for Jerseyfest Academy, which will consist of a series of all day hobby classes – more info to come. The vendor show will be on Saturday and Sunday. We are in planning mode and all is looking great for a very big and elite show all day and night for 3 days.

June 28, 2014 UPDATE!!

New Painting Class at Jerseyfest – “Painting a Death Dealer” Model !

Registrations have begun for the new Moebius Models “Advanced Weathering & Painting of Vehicle Models” class at the 2014 Jerseyfest Academy.

This all day, “hands on” class will cover various advanced techniques for painting and weathering a vehicle model, with the subject being a Moebius Models Viper Mk 2 Model Kit from Battlestar Galactica. However, the methods to be learned will apply to any vehicle or mechs model. The class is designed to appeal to all levels of hobbyists (pro, novice or beginner). It will be held from 9:30AM to 4:00PM at the Hanover Marriott Hotel on Friday, August 1st, 2014, which is the day before the weekend long vendor show...

We will have Jordu Schell as one of our special guests at Jerseyfest 2014 in August. He will be doing painting and sculpting demonstrations as well as discussing creature design on Saturday and Sunday during the vendor show.

The 2014 Jerseyfest Model Kit & Statue Fair will be held from August 1st to the 3rd in 2014 at the Marriott Hanover Hotel in Whippany, New Jersey.

For those of you who plan on attending Jerseyfest in August and would like to stay at the show hotel (again… the Marriott Hanover in Whippany, NJ), I suggest you make your room reservations very soon to secure it because the rooms in our room block are going faster than expected and the hotel has other groups using guest rooms for the weekend.

Our show in September went extraordinarily well. The Jerseyfest Academy all day classes that occurred the day before the vendor show went phenomenally well (65 students). The weekend long vendor show was big and well attended (packed on Saturday) with tons of models, supplies and art. We had over 115 vendor tables. Most vendors did great with sales and the painting/sculpting demos and special guest presentations were excellent and well attended all weekend long. Lots of people partying at night too.

We really hope you can make the next show in 2014, which will be even better.
