It is interesting being around so many artists. Their artworks transcend beyond their own lives, still effecting everyone that may view them. Such is this one…
Built for a fan film, now passed artist Thomas Sassar contacted me back in 2006 with this model to initially sell these parts to me, and then to eventually show them on what would become Modeler’s Miniatures & Magic. Over the years, these photos became lost in the shuffle of my digital files,… until now. The intricate and imaginative detail work here is astounding! Fantastic work by Thomas Sassar, and congratulations to whomever this was made for… and their fan made film.
Here is what Thomas shared with me over a decade ago…
I almost forgot about these! I have had them packed away for a year and recently unearthed them while making room for moving more stuff around. They were built for and used in a fan film. Each has a mounting point, and a green screen FX rod mounted into them for shooting. They are all fairly detailed and about 7″ – 14″ in length making for a large scale.
