Once again… the Battlestar master, Jim Creveling, has come through with another beautiful piece. Built for another client, this Studio Scale Battlestar ATLANTIA is again his usual top notch work at it’s just over 73 inch length. I am really at a loss as to what else to say about this fantastic artist… except…. I can’t wait to see his next creation… which just may be for me someday!

Famed for his great artwork of the years,… especially for the fantastic paint master for the MR Millennium Falcon, here again is another great piece from professional modeler Dean Dymerski! Built from a fantastic kit, this Viper is amazing in detail and weathering! Even the look of Lee Adama’s frustration can almost be caught with his figure paint up and positioning! I love this piece from Dean…. another great work of art!

Using the Kuhn Global Blue Screen photos of the 4 beautiful DeSanto Continuation Viper builds… (Seen HERE built by R.L. Bleecker from the MoonBase Models kit), and using a fantastic shot of the TOS Ship of Lights provided by Mr. Mark Dickson, master artist Peter Noble made this fantastic scene for all to enjoy! He made an earlier version that had the Ship of Lights the proper color …. seen HERE.

This fantastic piece was built from an amazing kit by Utah’s SpaceMind Modeler himself, Jared Bronson! Building it as Commander Adama’s Fighter from the Cylon Wars under his Call Sign “HUSKER” was an easy decision, because it is one less done in the modeling world today. Jared’s weathering on this piece is absolutely perfect. Many believe the Vipers should be clean. But viewing the actual CG model renders of what was actually used in the series, the ‘dirty’ look is what most were like as the series ran it’s course. Beautiful in every detail.

When I first viewed this being built, my jaw dropped with amazement even then! Professional artist Douglas Shortes was building one of my favorite concept designs! And it ended up being a masterpiece! From the cockpit interior to the engine bells, this piece is one of a kind…. and a scratch built beauty! Not only does this artist build, but he is amazing with Composite work as well! He absolutely captured the fantastic Ralph McQuarrie design with perfection! I believe Mr. McQuarrie will be thrilled to view it!

Being that the best experienced Colonial Pilots are spread thin these days, Captain Apollo rarely gets to share the skies with his best friend… Lt. Starbuck. Such was one of these days. A colony-type planet had been detected a few light years in front of the fleet and needed to have some recon done…. their names were first on the flight roster. Detecting no hostile presence, the two friends shoot for the deck of the planet to discover most of it covered with water. Alone, with beautiful skies above, deep blue oceans below…. and a whole world of freedom waiting to hear the screaming of Viper engines for the first time….. Apollo looks over at Starbuck… who just nods, and waves his hand as if to say “after you” while placing his cigar back in his mouth…...
