This is one of those timeless, classic builds of a ship known to all who know Star Trek. The ship that brought Khan to Kirk in the original series… the SS Botany Bay! Beautifully built from the Atomic City Model kit by industry famed master modeler E. James Small, this piece is now in the lucky hands of a collector! Jim’s amazing talents brought this piece to life with his use of subtle paint paneling and weathering to age the vessel! Beautiful work!

Once again… the Battlestar master, Jim Creveling, has come through with another beautiful piece. Built for another client, this Studio Scale Battlestar ATLANTIA is again his usual top notch work at it’s just over 73 inch length. I am really at a loss as to what else to say about this fantastic artist… except…. I can’t wait to see his next creation… which just may be for me someday!
Already known for his great modeling skills, professional modeler Dean Dymerski was given the great honor of painting the Master Replica Studio Scale Millennium Falcon as the “Paint Master” that would define how the released paint jobs would resemble. As you can see with this piece, even with the smaller photos, his painting of the Falcon is Top Notch and very realistic to the actual filming model. A wonderful job indeed!

Everyone remembers the scene in Star Wars where c3Po is getting his oil bath while Luke asks him questions about where he and R2-D2 came from. Everyone also remembers that while asking these questions, Luke was playing with a model of his own…. of THIS vehicle…. the T-16. Using photographs of the studio model, Professional Modeler Brad Dillon made this piece from scratch… and what a great job he did!

As seen on the professional modeling board Resin Illuminati, this beautiful build was done by the known artist DTSSYST from the Sci-Fi Dynamics of Anigrand Kit that is no longer legally available. I love to see builds like this one as it really shows the quality of the kit with the fantastic skills of this builder! The subtle panel color variations, and thousands of lights add for the fantastic size this model represents! This could easily be filmed as a studio model today. Beautiful work by DTSSYST.

Read MoreI started this model many years ago, intending it to be my own. I’d made a special display place for it on top of a divider wall in our home in Brandon where it would be displayed prominently and not be in the way of anything else. However, we ended up moving to Nova Scotia in 2007, and this new home is so much smaller there is no good place to display it as intended.
The model’s basic shape is made almost exclusively of the very expensive EMA/Plastruct materials and random kitbashing...
There are only a few of these being offered…. I can’t imagine they will last long! Fully professionally built and detailed as the “Damaged Wing” Vader Tie (as seen in A New Hope), there are ONLY three of these available to the public. They each come with an ICONS Style Death Star Paneled Base, with a professional metal plaque and a clear acrylic case! This museum quality piece is rather large at Studio Scale! Mr. Kelley has informed me he has 2 of these ready for delivery as I type this, with the third nearly completed. This is a great offering for three very lucky collectors!
