A few years ago I had purchased several studio X-wing Kits from MSLZ22 Models, and then also received a studio X-Wing variation from Poseidon Young. While the first MSLZ22 kit I had was built to be RED 5 (SEEN HERE), (accurate to the studio model), the second kit was built by R.L. Bleecker (before his retirement) to be RED Leader(SEEN HERE), (also accurate to the studio model). I have had several fantastic X-Wing studio builds come through the Modeler Magic Gallery which now reside in other collections around the world. I am now having Marc build the remaining squadron as we know them to be from Star Wars – A New Hope! The MSLZ22 V3 Kits are outstanding and will be done as Red2, Red3, Red4 and Red6. The Poseidon Young kit will be built as Blue 12 (Red 12)...

Kit Description:The kit consists of 99 resin parts, 2 aluminum parts, 2 decal sheets, instruction sheet for building the guns and main assembly instruction sheet. We will be able to include brass tubes for our first 14 kits. If we are able to get more brass tubing we will keep including them in the future. The price of the kit does not vary with or without the brass tubing.

The decal sheets include helmet markings for Red 1 to 6 and Control Panel consoles...

Being built from the very detailed, extremely rare 1:24 Poseidon Young X-Wing Kit (Seen HERE), artist Marc Elkins is turning this kit into RED 12 (Seen HERE) from Star Wars – A New Hope. This kit is not studio accurate, but offers more detail than any other 1:24 X-Wing kit ever made… like the full sized cockpit interior, interior engine parts as well as many extra features. This will round out the collection of being able to show each and every studio sized X-Wings ever offered. Marc Elkins is doing a fantastic job! As you can see, this kit was made to have it’s wings able to open and close. Marc shows here his assembly of them using earth magnets embedded in the wings to hold the wings firmly shut when closed….. and fantastic feature!

Once again we can view how beautiful off the shelf kits can look! Built from the old AMT kit, artist Christopher Hall made this piece shine. His paint scheme and weathering made a huge difference in this kit’s look. Originally built for a Death Star Trench Scene, this piece is fantastic!
