After months creating his first scratch build, highly detailed and based of off Ansel Hsiao’s design, this piece has finally come to life! Nicely done!

“About 6 months ago I encountered Ansel Hsiao’s BELLATOR CLASS STAR BATTLECRUISER.

I was enthralled. I knew I had to build it, even though I had never scratch built anything ever before and that I also have Chronic Pain and Fatigue syndrome. It did not matter. it took 6 seeks to get enough money together and plan out a strategy. Pretty much my plan was to I carve styrene until I got my Bellator.

I believe it has 4500-5000 individual pieces.

After 4 months and 500 or so hours I finished my Star destroyer model! I thought this was something impossible for me to do. I taught myself and did it 99% scratch made...

This WIP by Steve Blanes is looking more and more detailed with each update! (SEE UPDATE 1 HERE!) This design by famed Ansel Hsiao is truly worthy of being done as a physical model…. and Steve Blanes is answering the call!

Based off the amazing Mega Star Destroyer design by Ansel Hsiao (SEEN HERE), newly shown artist Steve Blanes creates his first scratch build utilizing Ansel’s amazing design. This will be quite large at over 40 inches in length, and from the look of it… highly detailed. I am looking forward to viewing the finished piece from this artist known as The White Tiger.

Ansel Hsaio is back with a Lambda Class Shuttle build! Better known as the TYDIRIUM from Star Wars – Return of the Jedi, this piece is again an outstanding piece of work. I am always amazed at all the fine detail Ansel places on his builds. Simply beautiful!

We are all used to viewing Ansel’s HUGE Star Destroyer creations, and now we have another beauty to view…. the TIE Avenger Fighter. This is a BEAUTIFUL design from Ansel and I would love to see it done as a kit in 1:24, or even better at 1:18! The detail is crisp and looks very much like an Imperial design! One of the things I love about Ansel’s work is his attention to the fine details that really bring his creations to life. Another fantastic creation from the master himself… Ansel Hsiao!

When I think CG Star Destroyer… or just about anything else… one of the first names I think of is artist Ansel Hsiao! Every design he comes up with is superior to his last…. and I want to have them ALL physically built! Clearly something that may never be done completely with as fast as Ansel builds these beautiful pieces! I am most impressed. Even the fine details are cared for!

Professional artist Ansel Hsiao is absolutely fantastic and this new build shows it! CG builds are another monster completely than that of a physical scratch build. However, they both take great amounts of talent to pull off…. and this TIE Defender that Ansel built is absolutely beautiful! I will never tire of viewing this artist’s works… as they are some of the best from a great and creative mind!
