As a tribute to the great artist Ray Harryhausen, Jas Hodge is back with this fantastic “work in progress” of Ray Harryhausen’s TALOS! This is part of the “MAGIC” side of this Gallery and I love it! I am very much looking forward to viewing it completed!

Below are some new pics showing the completed Talos sculpt, posed on his plinth, with the last one showing Talos standing in neutral pose …. There will be more of Talos later, with a couple of different standing poses, and will lead up to full scenes capturing some iconic moments from the movie ….

Initially I plan to do six of Ray’s Characters, (seen in the first Intro pic), but may do more later.

This is a tribute to the man who defines what Fantasy and Adventure is all about, and just my way to say thanks for...

tan.j ….. a pseudonym name that has become synonymous with the new style Battlestar’s! Here again is a new design by him… that is completely fantastic! Very nice indeed!

Built by artist Bill Plewes, here are a few fantastic CG renders of the Tantive IV Blockade Runner from Star Wars Ep IV – A New Hope. Originally shown here back on December 28, 2008, Bill’s work on this Tantive has inspired tens of thousands of viewers around the world. He did a fantastic job!

Artist tan.j is back with another fantastic Battlestar design of his own! The Battlestar HESPERIDES! This beast looks HUGE and I would love to see a physical model done of it someday that would go alongside the Battlestar’s being built for the Gallery.

I have the extreme honor of introducing the amazing works of Japanese artist tan.j to this Gallery. As you may have noticed, he goes by his pseudonym name as several artists do. I cam across this artist while investigation the armor plating on the Battlestar Columbia as seen in Battlestar Galactica – RAZOR. His works kept showing up wherever I went with regard to the CG Battlestar, so I looked at his work and my jaw dropped! Please enjoy these renders and videos from our newest shown artist, tan.j!!

I have the great pleasure of introducing another fantastic artist to this Gallery…. CG Artist Christian Fröhlich of Scarabeus Design! His first “Work in Progress” piece is outstanding as being one of the most recognizable ship designs in Sci-Fi history… the Millennium Falcon! The detail on this piece is amazing. I am constantly impressed with CG modelers today…. and artist Christian Fröhlich is definitely one of them! I am very much looking forward to showing more of this artist’s work. Rumor has it he has an Imperial TIE Fighter ready to be shown! I look forward to it!

Here is the latest to come in from CG Artist Alex Yao of his magnificent CG Battlestar Galactica build. As stated in his first update (SHOWN HERE), this beautiful build is being created part for part from the original Studio Model photos. Alex is doing an amazing  job and I look forward to viewing the completed piece!

Originally shown here back in December of 2008, just one month into this Gallery’s beginnings, CG Artist Jas Hodge has contacted me with major updates to this fantastic piece (of the renders we had shown in 2008) that he accomplished back in 2006! I have to say that this artist’s work is extremely impressive and I am honored to be able to show them here on Modeler’s Miniature’s & Magic. I can’t wait to see the piece completed with interior…. as Mr. Hodge states…

The pics below were the last updates I did for the model before putting it on hold (MAY 2006), … When I get back to it, no doubt I’ll improve it some more, and will have a fully detailed Interior … When completed I hope to have a highly detailed digital replica of the Movie Miniature, (including Interiors) based from my own collect...
