Rainer has now finished the 3D Printed studio scale Cloud Car that was printed utilizing Alain Rivard’s STL files. This time Rainer used a metallic ground to give the model a “used” look rather than the new, fresh from the factory look.
Right now Rainer is working on a studio scale Y-Wing fighter.

Some months ago I purchased a Snowspeeder STL 3D file from Alain Rivard. It was 3D printed with a wingspan of round about 50 cm, so it looks like it may be 1/18 in total. My friend Rainer Löffler here in Germany, a well known model builder artist, got the printed pieces…and two months later we have this beauty beast! It is one of the best Snowspeeder builds I´ve seen so far – and with the great files from Alain Rivard a dream came true!

Right now Rainer is building the Cloud Car which was also purchased from Alain Rivard.

If there are any questions about how to work with the glue or the paint Rainer used, one may email him. Also, should anyone want to know how to get such a model, please contact me, Harald Niedermeyer, and I shall be happy to tell you where to go to do so.

First, we have been working on this project for months now, and it is coming along nicely. Tony Celliers of Dynamic Digital Creation is also involved. We are using the files he had previously cleaned up for the Galactica that he is making as a starting point for our large kit. Parts breakdowns etc will change based on printer size, and molding needs. Tony will also be assisting us with reworking the files that we were recently provided by Lee Stringer for the fully detailed landing bay interior set pieces.

I have now received feedback from The Kit Factory’s own Simon Mercs ( at the end of the first week of August 2020) that the client for this piece loved the test print, even with the minor issues that were present, and we are working with a Caster to get quotes...

I love these amazing and large mode kits. This one, from Alain Rivard’s PROP SHOP was 3D printed from the STL Files Alain created based on the measurements and details of the original studio model used in Buck Rogers in the 25th Century. I have had two other kit makers studio scale Thunderfighter’s in the collection fro some time and I must say that this kit stands well with them both. Having been 3D Printed, it does have some remnant lines that can be seen with the naked eye, but unfelt when I ran my fingers over those spots. The design of the kit itself is very well thought out, and the parts fit so well together that it could be a snap kit. At first glance, I thought I had found a fitment alignment issue, but as it turned out it was my own alignment error...

G&T 3D Printing is a printing service running a Phrozen Transform larger-scale resin printer. This allows a lot of miniatures or several larger pieces to be printed simultaneously. We can print commercially available files like those you find on Kickstarter collections or from your favorite file source.

We aim to provide a value printing option for people who don’t want to buy their own printer or want to print items too large for their smaller home printer. Setting up files for printing is as much art as science and we’ll do all of that for you.

We will upgrade and expand as we can, for volume and capabilities. Not all resin printers are the same and not all resins are the same. If you want custom jobs you’ll need to ask and we’ll let you know what it will take to print your files...

Artist Paul Anthony Craggs of CRAGGS Models has been working on this beautiful Dropship for his client. It is a 1/24 sized replica of what was seen in the film ALIENS. Paul tells me “the 6 foot version of the Dropship is 85% complete”! It may be viewed on his website.
