Back in 2001, I started a Y-wing garage kit project which later drew in other experienced kit ID specialists and builders. The project developed further over a period of a few years and eventually became the Master Replicas Y-wing collectible model. As a member of the team who provided the patterns and research behind this replica, I received an artist proof copy, and that is what is now for sale.

From the point I received this replica it has, due to various property moves, been kept safely in its box. Its only been opened a handful of times and never actually been set on its stand...

At 18″ X 18″ this Studio Scale kit from NICE-N Model Designs (cast by MSLZ22Models and originally mastered by Nick Sainton-Clark) is HUGE! And famed industry master modeler Richard Long did it the justice it deserved! Using the photos of the studio model (SEEN HERE) that were originally taken for Master Replicas by another famed artist, Richard matched every scrape and burn mark to match that of Luke Skywalker’s Snow Speeder as seen in Star Wars – The Empire Strikes Back! This is a BEAUTIFUL piece by Richard Long that resides in the amazing Collection of Mr. Thomas Fan!
