Kevin Hoppert – David West Reynolds – Zvezda/Revell – Star Wars WIP – (2020) Scratch-N-Bash 1:2700 Imperial Star Destroyer Cross-Section

This is a work-in-progress scratch-N-bash of a cross-sectioned Imperial Star Destroyer, using the hull from a Zvezda/Revell (1-2700) commercial kit as a shell. The build is based on an illustration in the Star Wars Incredible Cross-Sections book, by David West Reynolds, who I met at Wonderfest a few years back. I just love any cross-section / cut-away illustrations and builds in any genre. The shell is a bit narrower and longer than the illustration and is no particular official Star Destroyer version, but I am adjusting innards to fit as I go. I also carefully and surgically moved back both rear side notches and the port deck turret section to match more closely, and correctly align, to the illustration...

Alexander Hausch – Zvesda – STAR WARS – 1/2700 Star Destroyer… “DOMINATOR”

I present today… the DOMINATOR – my first Star Wars model with lighting. I’m a miniatures games guy, painting my minis to high display standards, and I’ve come back to (Star Wars) model building after a break of over 30 years since my teenage days. The model I show today is based on the Zvesda/Revell 1/2700-scale kit, but I modified it heavily to make it more accurate to the original 8 foot studio model. This included raising the lower levels of the superstructure, correcting the angle of the bridge section and the neck, as well as scratch-building hundreds of new details replacing and adding to the details present on the kit. All modifications I built myself from plastic card...

Hello everyone!
I’m offering for sale my first major project! This is the 2 foot long Zvezda 1:2700 scale Star Destroyer, I have spent hundreds of hours detailing every millimeter of this fantastic model!

Here are the things I have done to bring this model to completion.

I have hand scribed every panel on the ship to bring out the detail, which I believe represents a more realistic look and mimics the model used in the movies rather than by using a “wash” to bring out the scribe lines.

I then subtly painted hundreds of panels all over the ship that are just slightly darker than the base hull color so they can be seen up close, but from a distance only appear as added deta...

Hi friends, this is my heavy upgraded build of a Zvezda Imperial Star Destroyer kit. I replaced 70% of original parts with my own super-detailed scratch-built parts, re scaled side trenches to make them taller, rebuild all engine area and added a lot of small details to increase quality of the model.
Now, with all this upgrades, this model looks really amazing. The detail level is very high for it’s size! And now it looks much more screen-accurate than the original kit . Also I’ve made remote control, so you don’t need to approach to the model to turn it on. Now, you can simple push a button, while sitting on a sofa.

Length is 60cm, weight is 3.5 kg...

DANAMAGIC – WIP#1 – 27 Inch Zvezda Star Destroyer

“I’ve finished the panels on the top of the ship, and then I went back over all of them with the base color to blend them in, then I tried to take some pics of how I saw the ship in the movie as far as how the panels and scribing is seen, as in the movies you really don’t see it unless it’s in a close up. I think in these pics it shows how from a distance you don’t even see them, then as you get closer they’re more prominent.

The panels on the nose are the same color as the ones towards the back, but under bright lighting they kind of vanish into the distance. Which is exactly what I was going for! So I’m very pleased with how they turned out!”

KIT ALERT! From JP Modelworks – Acrylic Stands for the REVELL/ZVEZDA Star Destroyer Kits

KIT ALERT!!

Presents

Acrylic Stand

for the

REVELL/ZVEZDA Star Destroyer Kits

Description: A NEW display stand is available for the REVELL/ZVEZDA 1/2700 scale Imperial Star Destroyer model kit. If you have purchased this beautiful kit you get a small two piece plastic display stand.

In my opinion, this is a cheesy stand for a really excellent kit. It is to small to display the finished kit properly. Being so low you cant appreciate the detail on the bottom of the model.

I am now manufacturing an elegant clear acrylic display stand you will be proud to use to display your completed Star Destroyer model.

Made from strong 3/16″ thick clear acrylic, this machined stand is designed to complement your Star Destroyer...

Zvezda: Star Destroyer by Alex Hilpert

This is my StarDestroyer from Zvezda. On this one, I added a lot of greebles / missing details with styrene. I also redone the hangar bay and scratched the “waste dump” on the main tour. I choose some very warm white leds to be accurate to the studio model. The tiny Falcon is 3D printing…
Hope you’ll like it!

Cheers.
Alex.
