I have a NEW appreciation for the Studio Scale X-Wing that eFX released last year. When I first received a prototype to review, before the public release, I reviewed that the paint job was challenged and made the collectible seem toy-like. ( You may read that review HERE). However, I also stated that since my review was of a Prototype, that the final version would most likely be better. It was not. Now, due to another Collectors frustration, (Mr. Albert Siaow), over my same concern, the matter was quickly able to be remedied by placing Albert in contact with Richard to do the paint job the piece deserved. And so it was done! This piece is BEAUTIFUL now! And it gave me pause to think that a paint job could make all the difference. Because it did in this case! I donโt really blame eFX for what they received, as they needed to keep the costs of the piece reasonable. Otherwise it may have had to be a $2,000 collectible rather than the $1,200 โ $1,300 it was. The photos shown begin with the finished piece and go backwards in time to itโs first viewing right out of the box from eFX. Richard did a great job for Mr. Siaow! I thank them both for allowing me to show this wonderful improvement. Now, with this fantastic paint jobโฆ and itโs rarity on the market, this piece carries fantastic value!
