As the Rebels streak across the surface of the Death Star to reach the equatorial trench they must transverse, they notice something more than the standard Imperial TIE Fighters pursuing them…. the new experimental X2 TIE Fighters! They seem to out maneuver and outrun their predecessors with ease! “That is all we need! Even more for these young pilots to handle!” thinks the Rebel Red Leader as one of his rookie pilots is knocked from the sky by these new beasts.
Using the photos of the fantastic kit-scratch build of this model (SEEN HERE) by master artist R.L. Bleecker, and using actual screen captures from Star Wars – A New Hope, this piece was able to be created.
