This is a sneak peek at my ROTJ A wing studio Maquette replica. A few of these models were built by ILM before or during the fabrication of the much larger filming miniature. This model is comprised of two Tamiya 1/32 F14 hulls, that are cut in half and rejoined. Along with the engines from the Hasegawa 1/32 F16. Various other parts from each of these kits are used to create the form. Obviously due to very limed reference of these crude models, some embellishment is required, but it made it all the more fun, some areas i just chose to go my own way and tidy up somewhat in comparison to the ILM model. I also chose to replicate the model depicted in the Japanese SW Chronicles, due to it having some extra intakes in the upper hull, and full fins, rather than the normally seen rear vectorial ring.
