Kuhn Global’s 1/18 Warren Fu Design -‘RETURN of the SITH’- Concept Fighter – Blue Screen Photos & CLONE WARS Composite by Kurt Kuhn

A little over a decade ago, a talented artist created something for me from the concept artwork of ILM artist Warren Fu. It is a design that I thought quite fantastic, and sadly it did not make the cut for the STAR WARS Prequel Films (as it was designed for Return of the Sith). Never the less…. this was the first to be replicated from Warren’s concept… and it was done in 1/18 scale. Another was made in a smaller scale a year or so later by famed artist Lasse Henning. In this one, we placed Captain Rex in the pilot seat, as I thought it appropriate to do so given the time line this fighter represented. I love this piece…. and it shall not be left behind in any less featured ship designs. This one is the only one in known existence in this size.

Of the Composite I created back then, utilizing my Blue Screen Photos of the model, I featured it here on Modeler Magic on November 20, 2009. I felt it greatly fit into the films… and I hope you enjoy it. It is called “The Clone Wars”.
