Every so often a kit emerges that has been long awaited, and very exciting to me. Such is the Cosmos Models 1/350 Nebulon B Medical Frigate from The Empire Strikes Back. When built it is supposed to measure 3 feet in length! How exciting is that?!! Nicholas Sagan has done marvelous work in producing this kit… from 3D files… to 3D printing of the parts… the kit I received looks fantastic. The first kit arrived very well packed, and has a metal tube included for the spine of the model.
Two caveats however…. unfortunately time of delivery took forever (6 months) from what was originally told to me it would be. As a matter of fact… of the two ordered… only one has come thus far. I am still waiting on number two. The second caveat is that I received two parts from the same side, and I will be needing that part replaced that I may build it fully.
The kit itself looks fantastic. Very crisp and clean in most places. There are some areas of clean up here and there, but nothing out of the ordinary that any modeler could easily do themselves. I believe JPG Productions is doing the very nice casting for these kits. I have left the photos in their original high resolution size that everyone may look at them close up. What I received is what you see.
I am very much looking forward to this build!! It looks to be straight forward…. and like many Garage Kits… of the moderate level of modeling.
I wish to thank everyone involved in making this kit a reality…Nicholas Sagan and Jimi Glancy. You have done wonderful work in doing so. I am grateful. That stated… I have confidence I shall receive me second paid for kit soon…. heh heh.
