With the upcoming film… Episode VII… and the cool new X-Wing we have all been admiring, I thought it appropriate to look at some of the original sketches for that design… these by Joe Johnston from his sketchbook. Even though that book is 30 years old, and being that Joe is now directing and producing films himself… I still highly recommend getting a copy for yourself.

Well…. as millions of fans world-wide are aware… the official trailer for the film was released last week. There is truly a touch of JJ Abrams in this film in his directing techniques from what we have seen. That stated…. I am very excited! I am feeling that old Star Wars vibe again…. like the excitement I had back in 1977 when I viewed that black poster stating only these words… “Along Time Ago… in a Galaxy Far, Far Away”. It certainly got my attention then… and it has it now. Oh… and those split wing X-Wings….. you can count on seeing a few of them scratch built right here on Modeler Magic! OUTSTANDING!! I have taken a few screen captures of the Trailer and placed them below...
