1/350 NX-01 Refit – Best Star Trek Model Award Winner – WonderFest 2023 USA

1/350 NX-01 Refit

Best Star Trek Model Award Winner

WonderFest 2023 USA

I have recently finished a quite unique model build of the NX-01 Refit.

As I’m sure many people know that there was suppose to be a fifth season featuring the Refit but the show was canceled before it ever aired.

There have been many 1 /1000 scale models of the ship from round 2 that have been done before by many scale model builders.

The model that I just completed is a 26 inch 1/350 scale version that to my knowledge has never been done up until know.

I recently entered the ship in the 2023 Wonderfest model show in Louisville KY where it won a special award for best Star Trek model. The model received a lot of attention at the show.

This was an almost 2 year long project with a great deal of modification to the original Polar lights 1/350 NX-01 kit and the addition of the secondary hull from Howling Wolf Productions.

Any other questions that you might have about the build, please don’t hesitate to ask, oh and the lighting system was not a led lighting kit. Lighting was designed by my self using some specialized led components.
