BUILD UP!

1/160 SCALE SLAVE 1

BY TWIN SUN MINIATURES

This was a commission build using the Revell model kit as supplied by the customer.

Obviously not entirely screen accurate and certainly not the best tooled model kit I have worked with but this is what the customer asked for. Had to add the piping that runs from the canons using some guitar strings.

The whole model was primed in matt black then fully painted & weathered using Archive-X acrylics all shot from an airbrush. I scratched a custom base using black acrylic & added a brushed aluminium custom plaque.

About to start a run of Bandai ships painted in Archive-X using ILM printing techniques. Next year I plan to travel to the north of England to a fan run Star Wars event I where I will make them available for sale. Not every collector has the space or money for studio scale stuff so I figured I could make some ships available that might cover that end of the collection market.

Anyway, I hope you like the attached images. Happy to take any feed back you might have in my work.

Kindest regards,

John Brown
