Close Encounters of the Third Kind…. one of Steven Spielberg’s greatest triumphs in film making… and yet another film of that time period that forwarded the technology utilized in films today! Artist Dae Choi took on the most difficult of ships in that film… the Mother Ship! the thousands of lights on the Silo’s alone is enough to make any modeler go nuts! This is beautiful! Unfortunately, this is the only photo of the piece Dae emailed to me.

Artist Dae Choi returns with this fantastic miniature of Disneyland… one of my most favorite places on Earth! And… he did it out of foam core, paper and pens! I love to see this type of miniature work….. of some of the most difficult pieces made with the simplest of tools. This piece was created back in 1992!! Fantastic!

One of these artists is Dae Choi! Showing his first piece here on Modeler Magic of the Spinner vehicle from Blade Runner! His lighting is magnificent as is his amazing finish with cotton use to make the spinner look as if it is taking off… just like in the film! Outstanding!! We will certainly be showing more from this artist!
