Paul Dilts NEBULON-B with Millennium Falcon WIP Update

My Medical Frigate has been slow at best, only a day on the weekend and that’s if I am lucky! It has been a busy Summer. Many of us artist’s always have a new vision of what can be done to improve our venture! I would say I am about 75% done, with most of my attention going to the 1/350 BanDai Millennium Falcon. I was only going to attach the Falcon to the spine of the Frigate (no lighting), then I had an itch to go above and beyond, and I decided to light it up. I started with lighting the cockpit only, then I decided to FO light the front mandible headlights (red, cool white, or blue) not sure what I will choose yet? Not pictured, I added four slow blinking red caution/landing light to the front bottom hull to give the effect of it being ready for disconnect/departure. I think I am getting the look I need! It will be very nice to the overall look and compliment the Frigate. I almost threw away the idea of adding the Falcon to concentrate mainly the Frigate, but this kit is crying to have the Falcon added to it, so I couldn’t pass on the opportunity to do it. The lighting it has been a challenge to my skills and my patience level! I received got a lot of inspiration on how to do it from viewing what others have done, research, and sadly.. trial/error. I purchased a few different 3D printed upgrade parts from Shapeways which took a few weeks to get to me. I also ordered Evans Design Lighting kits and connectors, all which took more time to receive, thus delaying my build time considerably. I am not in a hurry to get this done, but I feel I have been letting down myself and others of my progress. I am partially to blame! I keep on changing the things that I am not happy with, even after I have finished it (i.e. painting, adding additional lighting/opening more windows) all of which are to make it more like the studio version but in a smaller scale. I don’t know when to quit! I am sure you have been there. So say we all.
Aloha!
