The BBQ was battery operated. It had a spinning cylinder with tiny mirror reflectors on it, so as it lit up, the reflectors simulated a roasting fire from below.
The house had an opening door and inside, you can see the interior with a sofa, rug and TV that lit up. There was a slide of the Jetsons displayed on the screen.
I sculpted the figures out of super sculpty while my coworkers helped with sculpting trees, poured resin into the hot tub, etc. House was sculpted and carved out of foam. Without their help, it would have been impossible to complete the task in time for the wedding.
The vacuum formed floor had to be removed before the cake underneath can be cut. We also had a traditional tiered cake with Fred and Wilma on top, and their heads were motorized so their heads turned L and R to observe the guests.
We had to have 2 cakes because we had 700 guests.
I also added a Coke can for scale.
Unfortunately, Dino’s toes broke off long ago but that’s super scuplty after all.
