Jarek Książczyk (JERAC) – 6.62 Foot, 110 Pound LEGO Build – Star Wars – Admiral Thrawn’s Imperial Star Destroyer CHIMAERA

As stated in an article I wrote, later to be found on this day’s updates… I stand amazed at the art form, and all types of creation within it. Inspiration comes in many forms!

While searching the internet to find Lego artist Charles Anderson, due to his coverage in Popular Mechanics, I also found many artists who are building huge Star Destroyers out of Lego. One of those artists is Jarek Książczyk of Łódź, Poland. Known by the name of JERAC, this artist truly has done wonderful work on his own Imperial Star Destroyer.. Admiral Thrawn’s CHIMAERA! One site article identified JERAC’s ISD build as being “The biggest, most accurate Lego Imperial Star Destroyer ever built” on Gizmodo back in 2014. It also identified the facts of this wonderful build. It was started on 12/28/2013 and completed 6/1/2014, taking up OVER 40,000 Lego parts and weighs in at a whopping 110 pounds (50 kilograms)!! It measures 6.62 feet long (2.02 meters) X 4.1 feet wide (1.25 meters) X 1.9 feet tall (58 centimeters). Absolutely stunning work!

There are two men shown working on this Lego Model. The artist in the Yellow short is Jarek Książczyk (Jarosław Książczyk), and the assisting artist is Kris Kelvin. They did wonderful work!

Since reading this article, I have found several LEGO artists who have built many amazing Star Wars pieces, and other subjects… so we shall be showing more… even in today’s update! To see that showing, CLICK HERE!

Of note: There is a Lego model of the Star Destroyer that looks great which Lego sells for $699 USD. It is 42 inches long if anyone wants to dip their toes into the vast creative world of Lego.
