Full Size Millennium Falcon Cockpit Console and Guns – WIP by Greg Dietrich

I have the pleasure of introducing a great talent to this Gallery…. artist Greg Dietrich! Showing today is his magnificent 1:1 scale build of the cockpit console Millennium Falcon interior.. and a quad laser! This is fantastic is too many ways to count!

My name is Greg Dietrich and after many many years away from building models I decided to get back into the swing of things and what better way than to create a 1:1 scale replica of the Millennium Falcon cockpit console.  Sure, I could have started small… but come on…  I decided to take a chance and think big!  Besides, how many of us have dreamed of sitting behind the controls of the fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy?

 

As the project moved forward and eventually became a reality, I decided that, once complete, I would donate the build to Chris Lee and his full scale Millennium Falcon project.  I had no idea the project would take a life of its own and become an “international project”.  I’ve had several wonderful and very excited folks from across the country and in England donating their time, talents and parts to help make this build a reality!  It’s been such an honor working and chatting with all these folks.

 

Things have really taken off!  While I wait for those pesky misc parts to arrive, I’ve begun work on one of the two Millennium Falcon’s quad lasers… then after that… several more MF projects are on the way…  : )
