This 28” length model was carefully super detailed with addition of many extra resin parts, and also a ton of plastic bits…..

The final count of assorted resin parts added was near 400 bits, and a similar number of plastic bits where also added for better finishing look, this 800 parts model was paint on metallic and gray tones, in accordance to the original film studio builds.

The paint was sprayed on several layers changing tones from in to out, to increment depth on surfaces when photoshooting….. The information for such process was provided by a very reliable source.

Dax studio models, is a newly created sci fi dept. inside South American Models just like American Miniature Carrousel.

South American Models, this year celebrates his 25^th birthday since foundation in 1987.

Our family based company, well diversified over the years, is powered by the different abilities and point of view of each of the family members, I always try to split responsibilities and give credit on each build to the one who did most of the work on several areas, work many occasions faced by more than just one member, this time I should mention my mom, Zulema Acevedo, who cast many if not all of the additional tiny resin parts.
