Chris Olson’s 1/48 BanDai X-Wing “Moving Edition”

This is my latest build, the 1/48 scale BanDai moving edition X-Wing starfighter. I heavily modified this kit with working electronics and sound. From the original kit, all I kept of the electronics was the moving wings and torpedo firing. I then added my own electronics and incorporated them into the kit electronics so that they would all work together. I added the fully lit cockpit with lit targeting computer, lit R2-D2, firing laser canons, animated and flickering engine lighting and sound effects. I also made my own base from scratch, utilizing a plastic storage container from Joann’s Linens and a 5/8″ PVC tube for the support stand. All of my electronics were then mounted to the underside of the container and all wiring run up through the PVC tubing. Hope you enjoy.
