1:350 Romulan Bird of Prey built by Richard Long

Artist Richard Long made a kit of this years ago, and at that time, I asked him to make me two. The first was the standard paint scheme as seen in the original series, while the second is the one you see here. This one was inspired by the series ENTERPRISE, when they encountered the green Romulan Warships in that show. Richard thought it would be fantastic to make the TOS version (which happens after Enterprise in the Trek timeline), but with the green paint scheme we viewed in Enterprise. I love it! Especially since it is the only one in existence. Photographing this was much easier than I thought it would be. With a blue screen backdrop, I feared color bleed onto the metallic hull paint. Thankfully that did not happen too much. If you look closely, you will see the differentiated panel design Richard placed on this piece…. Beautiful!
