Super TINY and DETAILED – Bandai Super Star Destroyer by Christopher Olson

This is my take on the Bandai Super Star Destroyer mini kit. An unbelievably detailed kit for as small as it is. It really looks like a large scale model from my photos. I lit the engines using 13 warm white 0402 SMD LEDs that I painted with clear red paint. I preferred the more orange-ish color of this over the cooler red color of a straight red LED. I feel it’s closer to the movie engine colors. I then mounted it on a custom base build from a styrene frame with a plastic mirror top. It can be powered by either plugging in USB power or switching to 2 coin cell batteries with the push of a button.
