Stash of Sprues / Kevin Hoppert – STAR WARS: ROTJ – Death Star II Port Attack (1-144 Cross-Section) 2008-2013 & 2021 (Work-In-Progress)

The Death Star II Port Attack (Cross-Section) began life as a discarded metal store rack. The cross-section tunnel and lighting were completed between 2008 and 2010. The math of doing a port intrigued me as an long-time engineer. The top surface is hinged like a car hood for access to all inner workings and lighting. All surface port parts were hand-crafted and completed between 2011 and 2012. Mathematically, when connected, the port came out almost exact. The surface city-scape parts were laid out and completed between 2012 and 2013. This final phase of this project is being rebooted in summer 2021. Stay tuned…
