Star Wars
MPC Tydirium Shuttle Model build
By Starburst Models
As I am sure that you know the MPC kits were produced in the 80’s making them 30 plus years old with not the best fitting parts.
The top wing on this build was also quite warped, requiring some careful heating with a hair dryer to correct the defect. All of the wing edges were lacking detail that was visible in some scenes of “Return Of the Jedi” I also used specialized led components for the blue flickering engine lighting and nano chip led’s in the wing tip lights.
The model was painted in Tamiya acrylics and panel line accents used to weather the model. A display base was constructed from MDF board and I incorporated red led landing lights into the top of the base with an Imperial emblem in the middle where the model support tube goes through. I think all in all this turned out to be one of my favorite Star Wars Model builds.
Best always,
