Michael Kearns’ 46 Inch Millennium Falcon WIP

I have the pleasure of introducing another great talent to our Gallery Family! From Ireland, artist Michael Kearns! Michael will be sharing more soon on this fantastic build, and I decided to show the photo he sent now rather than wait for the others. I love this art form.. and it’s great creativity! Welcome Michael!

 

The model is made from a metal and plywood sub-frame and former for a fiberglass shell. So far it has 264 hull plates made from sheet styrene, plus 8 model kits for detail. Its dimensions are 46 inches long by 34 inches wide by 9 inches high. I’m trying to make it the same way as the original was but its not easy from photographs.
