Another finished build. This one is a 1:1 Scale resin prop of Captain Mal’s pistol from Firefly. I picked this one up at Wonderfest last year and I finally had to build it. The resin kit wasn’t very accurate so I did my best to make the pistol more true to the TV prop. The biggest ob was to cut off the rear “wood” handle and make a new one out of pine. This was then stained and coated with a clear coat of urethane. The paint was done with Tamiya Acrylics and i found this to be the most enjoyable part of the build. I also made my own custom wood and acrylic stand with art from the show added to the base.
