This is the 1979 issue of the Klingon K’T’inga class warship from Star Trek TMP. Built and finished last month! The model has the new improved decals from Polar lights on it.
Improvements done:

  • Complete rework of the bridge area at the ‘head’.
  • Improved impulse engines at the rear.
  • Detail in large Klingon symbol improved.
  • All panels sanded down to reduce over-sized relief.
  • All joints had to be redone due to misalignment’s in the kit design.

I chose to paint the model in a grey shade and purple highlights to match how it looks on film, and ignore the complex green/purple shading as seen in independent photos of the filming miniatures.
