1/17th MkII viper from Dynamic Digital Creations – Build
I’ve finish a 1/17th scaled MkII viper from Dynamic Digital Creations last year. it was the first time i was trying to modify a kit like that, adding lights and a screen (from tiny screen ) in it.
It was also the third kit I have painted with an airbrush and the first time I was trying to make weathering effects with it.
It’s a 1st version of the kit so no clear parts and it took me about 4 months to complete.
I’ve took the lit thru option for the cockpit so it has a “vintage” look and I add some fiber optics for the “buttons”
For the thrusters I just drilled a hole around the central piece and fill it with transparent epoxy glue.
I know the thrusters must have been white, but i thought blue was better 😉
For the wings lights, I carve a trench inside the wings, cut the resin navigation lights and replace them with shaped 3mm red leds. Then fill with putty 😉
The canopy is openable and hold in place with magnets.
