This Grammy Nominated, Multi Platinum Record Producer and UK artist has produced and remixed hit records for Madonna , Michael Jackson , Mariah Carey , Christina Aguilera, Cher , Celine Dion etc etc to name a few. And he is a fantastic Model Builder as well! Showing first is his conversions of the 31 Inch Hasbro RED 2 (Wedge) and RED 3 (BIGGS) X-wings! Andy even does commission work.. so for that purpose, feel free to contact him! He will soon be showing his Maxi-Brute conversion to a studio scale X-Wing as well! We look forward to showing it! It is always fantastic to see people on the arts participating in other fantastic art forms!

 

I have been following Modeler’s Miniatures & Magic for many years it is a great site with some amazing artists on it.

I have just made 2 new X Wings RED 2 AND RED 3.

I wanted to use the new big 76cm Hasbro model as a starting off point and I have added new laser canons ends from aluminum tubing and turned acrylic to make the correct look for these parts. I have tried to replicate the looks of the studio models by ILM as close as I can from reference photos from Modeler Magic. All the painting and weathering is done by hand with acrylic paints and a lot of washes to creating the layers of grime and dirt like on the original models.

These model are big!! I took them to a studio to do a blue screen photo-shoot so you can see them clearly in detail.

My next Project is a Estes Maxi Brute based X Wing semi scratch build .
