Artist Marko Osterholz always comes through with fantastic pieces to show…. and these are two that are even better than his last presentation!

In the past couple of weeks I built the 2 first starfighters in 1/3 studio scale: X-Wing blue one and Y-Wing Red Jammer.

Both are heavily modified Fine Molds kits, with 3D-printed parts, custom decals, etc. Turns out, the 1:72 Y-Wing kit is more close to 1:80, so I had to scratch bigger engine tubes and a new cockpit.

Same goes for the X-Wing; the fuselage is nowhere near correct, nor is the canopy or details like droidstrip, backplate, etc.

Long story short: I built both these models to the unique specifications of the very first X-wing and Y-Wing built by ILM in 1976.

Keep in mind – these are 1/3 studio scale 😉
