I have the great pleasure of introducing another talent to this gallery… Robert Waltman III. Showing first is this fantastic diorama of the Bugs attacking on Klendathu! I love this! Beautifully done!

“Ambush at Whiskey Outpost – Planet P”

This 54MM diorama is based on the scene from Starship Troopers. The Outpost is scratch-built from Plastruc sheet and strip. The entire Outpost was airbrushed with Alclad and lightly weathered with diluted oil paints. The flag is a decal made from a picture taken out of a magazine, scanned and transfered to white decal film. The various boxes and storage units are scratch-built and airbrushed with Alclad.

The Warrior Bugs are from Warp and modified to fit the scene. The soldiers are also from Warp and repositioned to fit were needed on the Outpost walls. Both were painted exclusively with Vallejo acrylics.

Ground work is a combination of celluclay and hydrocal “boulders”; airbrushed in various shades of tan. Woodland Scenic’s grass was also used.
